Barra del Colorado

Barra del Colorado is located in the Atlantic Zone, of Limon, for the Barra of the Colorado River.

The climate in the Atlantic Zone is humid and hot, without dry station. Rain is abundant throughout the year, The Temperature oscillates between 26° to 28° degrees Celsius or 79° to 82° Fahrenheit.

The main activity of this region is the Sport Fishing where you can fish Marlin, Roosterfish,Snook, Sailfish, Barracuda, etc, in their environs.

Many fisher says this is the best place in the world to fish Tarpon and Marlin. You can only visit Barra del Colorado by boat or plane.

In the Atlantic Zone the main port and city is Limon. The most of exportings o exportations of Costa Rica are sent to the world through this Limon's ports. The majority of people here descent from Jamaican and African people that came long ago to build the railroad. Is localized on the North of Limon with a variety of channels and lagoons where you can fish marlin, snapper, tarpon etc; and at the same time you can enjoy the beautiful view for all the channels and the region. The only way to visit Tortuguero Channel is by boat or plane This place has lots of fauna and flora, that's why there are a group of persons to protect the egg-laying of the Green Turtles, Carey and Baulas .

Parismina

Parismina is located in the Atlantic Zone in Costa Rica. This zone is good to fish Marlin, Snapper,Wahoo,etc. You can visit Parismina traveling by the northeast towards Tortuguero, in where you can see some channels and navigable Lagoons. Besides for its clear water you can practice the excellent fishing.

When you arrive to Lemon you can enjoy of the Afro-Caribena culture like to eat the famous plate"Rice and Beans" and to have a tour by Costa Rica and to practice sportfishing by all atlantic zone.
