Marlin
The Marlin Fish you can fish it on the Dominical Beach, Puerto Jimenez, Golfito, Drake Bay and other nearby beaches. Besides you just know the beaches where you can fish in the South Pacific but you don't know which ones months you can do it? ok, August through December are the best months for the marlin fishing.
Sailfish
Sailfish fishing is better from December to March.The Sailfish is a blue water fish and for the extends most of the length of its body and its large dorsal fin is named Sailfish. The sail can be seen down into a depression on it can't be seen. Sailfish reach weights close to 94 pounds and lengths of about 8 feet.They are swift and powerful fish and they have highly prize on the sportfishing
Tuna
Tuna has eight species three of them is the Albacore, Yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna and longtail tuna. So you can fish them around of the beaches like Golfito, Puerto Jimenez Beach, Drake Bay etc. Or well on the other fishing zones around Costa Rica. Dorado
It’s a fish called as Dolphin or Mahi-mahi (it’s a nickname adopted in this zone to avoid confusing with the dolphins). It has an average of 15 to 90 pounds (7-45kg) in the zones of the South Pacific in Costa Rica. They can live approximately 4 years. Dorado Fish feeds of crabs, mackerel, squid, etc.
They have a high prize in the Costa Rica SportFishing for its great flavor to such point that can replace other fish as the swordfish. Dorado fish are found in the Drake Bay, Golfito and other fishing zones of Costa Rica during the months of May to October.
Roosterfish
Roosterfish is popular fish in the Costa Rica Sportfishing because its average is about 15 to 80 pounds in the south pacific of Costa Rican waters.The favorite places to be are the Volcanic rock outcrops. The Roosterfish doesn't have a defined season to fish it therefore you'll fish Roosterfish during all the year in the South Pacific.
Wahoo
Wahoo is a singular fish because you'll find in the zone of the south pacific and other fishing zones as in Jaco Beach near of Jaco Blù Private Residences.You can fish it during the mid-may to August . IT has a large body, with blue colors and it feeds of squids, crabs, baitfish. The fishing places where you can practice the wahoo fishing are: Golfito, Dominical Beach, Puerto Jimenez, etc.
Snook
The Snook Fish is found on the South Pacific on the Puerto Jimenez Beach, on Golfito, Drake Bay,etc during the months of March to November. Snook Fish has a distinct lateral line, a dorsal fin divided, large mouth. This fish is known as Róbalo and they are native to the tropical waters as there is in Costa Rica in its rivers, lagoons, beaches like Dominical Beach, Jaco Beach, Parismina Beach or well in Flamingo Beach .
